Egg creams are a rich chocolate soda beverage that surprisingly contains no egg or cream. To give this classic American drink a new spin, blogger My Name is Yeh creates her very own Nutella-inspired version that is rich, creamy and incredibly refreshing.
The drink begin with milk and Nutella whisked together to create a syrup. Then using the rest of the milk, fill up your glasses and add very cold seltzer. The seltzer will give the milk a carbonated texture that is reminiscent of a soda. Once the chocolate syrup is as sweet as you'd like it, pour the syrup into the carbonated milk and stir till combined. This homemade version is much less sugar than a bottled chocolate soda, without any of the preservatives.
