Japan Releases a Unique Dried Fruit Oreo for Consumers to Try

Japan has created an all-new Oreo chocolate cookie flavor for consumer to enjoy inspired by the sweet taste of dried fruit. That's correct, the newest Oreo flavor is rum raisin.

Unlike traditional Oreo cookies that have a sandwich aesthetic with a thick layer of vanilla cream sandwiched between two chocolate cookies, these rum raisin cookies by bakery retailer Yamazaki Nabisco are bars featured a boozy raisin chocolate center topped off with a layer of 70% dark chocolate. The notion of a creamy centre and soft interior stays the same in these Oreo bars despite the new shape. The raisin rum cream is of a whipped texture offering a light and airy taste infused by liquor and dried fruits. This unconventional Oreo cookie offers both new flavors and a new texture for fans to enjoy.
