Choco tacos are an interesting sweet take on the traditional corn taco shell. This deliciously DIY decadent dessert item was inspired by a version made by Klondike that combines ice cream, swirled fudge and a waffle cone-shaped taco.
To make these DIY choco tacos at home begin by making he waffle cone shell from all-purpose flour, sugar, milk, egg whites, vanilla and almond extract. Pour the batter into a waffle maker and once the waffle is cooked you can cut it out into a circle shape. Freeze the waffle to get the shell-like shape and then fill the waffle taco up with dark chocolate chips, coconut oil, vanilla ice cream and crushed peanuts. You can play around with the toppings to suit your personal tastes.
