Invasive Carp-Based Dog Foods

Chippin Creates Sustainable Dog Food Made from Invasive Carp

Across North America, many lakes and rivers have had their eco-system disrupted due to invasive Asian carp that outcompete native fish for resources. This species can grow up to 50 kg since it is underfished and flourishing. One brand is tackling this problem head-on – Chippin, a sustainable dog food brand.

Chippin recently launched a new kibble made from silver carp, one of the invasive carp species. Dubbed Silver Carp Kibble, the pet food boasts twice the Omega-3s as traditional pet food options, is hypoallergenic, features zero input protein, making it have a "low carbon pawprint," and works to restore biodiversity.

Consumers can now purchase the Chippin Silver Carp Kibble online and in select retailers.
