Lab-Grown Pet Food

Chick Bites Offer an Alternative to Meat-Based Dog Foods

Dog owners in the UK can now treat their furry friends to an innovative snack with 'Chick Bites,' the first-ever dog treats made from lab-grown chicken. This groundbreaking product, created by Meatly in collaboration with British vegan dog food company The Pack, offers a sustainable and ethical alternative to traditional meat-based pet foods.

Crafted using cultivated chicken meat grown from a single egg cell, Chick Bites deliver all the nutrients dogs need, including essential amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins. Combining lab-grown chicken with plant-based ingredients, these treats are as nutritious as they are eco-friendly, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of pet food.

Currently available in a limited release at a Pets at Home store in Brentford, England, Chick Bites are a milestone in sustainable pet care. As Meatly scales production, it plans to expand availability over the next three to five years, paving the way for a kinder, greener future for pets and the planet.
