Just because individuals are becoming more and more developed and refined, doesn't mean that they should forget where they came from. The Chimney House in Bosschenhoofd for example, is a contemporary piece of architecture that appears to be inspired by the classic cabin (hence its name). This shows how it's possible to update the past without losing its essence.

Designed by Onix Architects, the Chimney House in Bosschenhoofd features a simple, triangular shape that is accented a with stunning wooden paneling along its exterior. With lots of windows, it lets in an abundance of natural light that gives its living space an airy, open feel.

The Chimney House in Bosschenhoofd's defining feature, however, is its long chimneys which hark back to simpler days.
