This Chilean World Cup Ad is Inspired by Famous Horror Movies

This Chilean World Cup ad, which advertises Chilean beer brand Cerveza Cristal's products, is made in such a way so as to horrify viewers.

The ad shows various star players of the Chilean World Cup team, including Arturo Vidal and Jorge Valdivia, taking on roles borrowed from famous horror films from the distant as well as the recent past.

Vidal appears in a scene reminiscent of the movie The Ring to scare some Japanese movie-watchers. Other players appear in spoofs from horror movies like The Shining and The Sixth Sense, to spook players and supporters from Cameroon and England.

Cerveza Cristal also made shorter ads meant to target each of the country's opponents in the World Cup group stages, namely Spain, Holland and Australia. The campaign aims to associate the company's beer with a successful Chilean World Cup campaign.
