With the leaves beginning to change colour, nuts ripening and squirrels busy, Autumn is a truly magical time. Nothing says Autumn more than the beautiful horse chestnut tree and its harvest of conkers, so this chestnut stool is perfect for when those leaves start changing color. Horse chestnuts were first introduced to the UK from Eastern Europe in the late 16th century so it is fitting that this pretty little stool hails from Eastern Europe too.
Designed and made in Poland by Beza Projekt this smashing stool is upholstered in rich chestnut brown and cream leather.
Beza is the creative brains of Anna Łoskiewicz and Zofia Strumiłło Sukiennik, award winning designers. They are explorers of design, sometimes designing products and at other times gallery pieces. Besides looking for obvious purposes and functions, they say they try to achieve a tongue in cheek quality to their work that will put a smile on the face of the most hardened of cynics. Their goal is to persuade people to play with their surroundings and this chestnut stool does a great job of that.
