The packaging for dairy products can oftentimes be somewhat simple in aesthetic, so the Valio Atleet cheese packaging aims to shake things up with a crisp new approach. Atleet cheese was originally produced in Estonia starting in 1984 as a fresh, creamy product that aimed to deliver an exceptional dairy product that was suited towards an active lifestyle.
Valio took over the sale of the Atleet cheese in Russia and prompted the redesign of the cheese packaging by the DS 1 branding agency. The result is a vibrantly recreated package that plays with angled in order to make it appear more modern and fresh. The middle window enables the consumer to see the product before purchase unlike other packaging designs that rely on printed imagery.
