Chatu Tea boasts an eco-friendly packaging design that also showcases the fields it is harvested. Chatu portrays innovation and sustainability through its packaging format, acting as an ode to the tea plantations in Sichuan, Henan, and Fujian provinces, where the premium Chinese tea is collected.
Each tea package is uniquely carved to resemble the terrain patterns from which the tea is hand-picked. Thus, the plantations served as inspiration for the packaging design. Moreover, the tea bundles are color-coordinated to correspond to the three types of tea: white, green, and red. Loose leaves are packaged into the molding pulp, which is then colored with natural dyes to indicate the appropriate tea. Moreover, the packaging shape resembles traditional Chinese teapots.
