Rustic Patisserie Branding

Lafayette’s Charming Visual Branding Identity Channels Parisian Cafes

Making anywhere in the world feel like France outside of France is a tough job, but this charming visual branding identity gets it just right.

There is just something about the French that is whimsically chic and rustically sophisticated. They never feel the need to overdo or overstate anything. They stick to simplistic looks with appealing colors and just the right eclectic details to pull it all together—case in point the Lafayette branding project. Created by graphic design studio Oat, the New York-based Lafayette cafe and patisserie does a beautiful job engulfing the essence of a French boulangerie with its charming visual branding identity.

“Lafayette emerges from traditions across France, combining these influences into a Grand Cafe that is urban and accessible. Elegant hand-drawn type and custom patterns are offset by street-art stencils,” says the design team at Oat.
