Charles Young Creates a New Paper Building Everyday to Add to Paperholm

Using tiny paper models, Charles Young is slowly building a whimsical paper city. Called Paperholm, the ongoing project is made out of daily models created by the artist.
The project began in the summer. Charles Young taught himself how to do paper and card modelling at the Edinburgh College of Art, where he earned both his bachelor and masters degrees. Photographs of his paper models are uploaded to Tumblr as regular image files as well as GIFs, which allow you to see some of the small structures in action. For example, the miniature carousel has mostly horse rides, with the exception of one unicorn. Other buildings include windmills, rocket launch pads, drills and even a light house.
