Lebanese-inspired Furniture

The Charles Kalpakian for Dar En Art is Culturally Contemporary

The furniture collection by Charles Kalpakian for Dar En Art, a manufacturer based in Paris, is inspired by the designer's roots. Born in Lebanon, he was influenced by such experiences as a summer evening in the Lebanese mountains as well as his culture's view of hospitality and its importance in everyday life. An overall modern line, these concepts nevertheless give each piece more context in a beautiful way.

Comprised of three pieces (Ahlan, Hawa and Nour), the furniture collection by Charles Kalpakian for Dar En Art has an oblong shape motif that is present in the form of the folding screen, print of the couch and openings of the lantern. The France-based designer has ensured that this repetitiveness has been executed subtly for a tasteful cohesiveness rather than an obvious one.
