The Chapel of the Risen Christ is a concrete religious building designed by Design Alliance Architects and located within Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. The chapel occupies a footprint of approximately 8,554 square feet and is defined by a series of curved concrete walls that shape both its structure and interior spatial sequence. These walls form a continuous enclosure that guides movement through the building while creating areas for gathering, reflection and worship. The project was conceived as a chapel for funeral services and memorial use within the cemetery grounds.
Concrete is used throughout the structure as both the primary construction material and the dominant visual element. Openings are integrated into the curved walls to accommodate stained-glass panels, allowing coloured light to enter the interior and contrast with the weight of the concrete surfaces.
