The Trotl Bike 001 by Matthias Pugin is a Sweet Fixed Gear

— December 3, 2009 — Eco
Fixies are all the rage right now. Swiss designer Matthias Pugin has created a chainless fixed gear racing bike-the ‘Trotl Bike 001.’ The design replaces the traditional bike chain with a belt that allows it a smooth, steady propulsion so that it can grip the track better at high speed.

The frame of this chainless fixed gear racing bike is made from carbon-fiber with a seat covered in leather for comfort and cushioning. It has a futuristic and industrial look but is still a work in progress. This sweet fixie will surely illicit more than a few stares at the track.
