Ora Ito Makes the Centre Beaugrenelle Look Like an Airport

The cinema section in the Centre Beaugrenelle in Paris has been made to look like an airport departure lounge by French designer Ora Ito. The purpose of this was to provide "a comfortable and relaxed environment that prepares guests for the main event," according to DesignBoom.

The design is a distinct take on the traditional cinema experience. Considering that most theatres around the world look very similar, Ito was extremely forward-thinking to break this mould and come up with a different look. Moreover, the airport aesthetic works well considering most people have to wait around for a movie to start in the same way one would wait for a plane to board. Hopefully this new aesthetic will attract clientele to the Centre Beaugrenelle in Paris.
