The Caterpillar S50 is a rugged smartphone that, yes, is made by the same Caterpillar company more renowned for making construction equipment and vehicles. The device is designed to be extremely tough and durable, making it ideal for outdoorsy types and people who work outside.

This phone is completely dust-proof and can block out water while immersed at a depth of up to one meter. Its 4.7-inch touchscreen allows for wet finger tracking, which permits the capacitive screen to read touching gestures and respond normally. The screen meanwhile is made with shatter-resistant Gorilla Glass 3.

The Caterpillar S50 isn't only about a rugged exterior however, it also packs a lot of internal goodies including an Android 4.4 KitKat engine, 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera.
