The popular New York City cat cafe 'Meow Parlour,' recently began offering cat yoga classes as a way of helping abandoned felines find new homes. The cafe partnered with the rescue group 'Kitty Kind,' in order to supply the adoptable cats for the classes.
Meow Parlour offers 90-minute classes that involve 30 minutes of playtime with the cats, 45 minutes of yoga and 15 minutes of cooling down with the kittens. Guests must be over the age of 12 in order to attend the cat yoga classes and those who are under 16 require an adult chaperone. Users can bring their own mat, but the cafe warns that cats often mistake yoga mats for colorful scratchers.
While yoga in itself is an excellent form of exercise, what could be better than working out with an adorable furry feline at your side?
