Brutalism Pop Art Residences

02A Studio Presents the Casa Polly in Historic Rome Quarters

The team at 02A Studio worked on an innovative design project in the form of Casa Polly. The home is defined by a blend of brutalist aesthetics and pop art sophistication. The apartment was first built in the 60s and it has been transformed into a vibrant home. The raw concrete pairs together with an open space with a central focus on materiality.

The studio's architects Marco Rulli and Thomas Grossi reinterpret these components and elevate them with a lively palette with whimsical touches of pop art. According to Rulli, the goal was to “celebrate the home’s rich heritage while infusing it with the quirky, joyful aesthetic of its new owners, actress Martina Pinto and director Alessandro Poggi."
