Casa MA by RUA 141 arquitectura Spans a 13 Foot Wide Site in São Paulo

— January 7, 2026 — Art & Design
Casa MA is a residential project in São Paulo, Brazil, designed to occupy a site measuring just 13 feet in width while maintaining spatial openness and functional clarity. The house is organized vertically across multiple levels, using staggered floor plates and internal voids to draw daylight deep into the interior. Large openings along the façade and carefully positioned skylights reduce the sense of compression typically associated with narrow plots, allowing light and air to circulate throughout the home.

Living, dining, and private spaces are separated through changes in level rather than full partitions, preserving visual continuity while defining use. A restrained material palette of wood, concrete, and plaster emphasizes texture and warmth within the compact volume. Outdoor terraces and planted areas are inserted between floors to extend living spaces outward and soften the dense urban condition.
