Located in the town of Pucon, Chile, the Casa Hualle is a new single-family residence that pulls architectural inspiration from the nearby Villarrica Volcano.
The home sits in the middle of the surrounding landscape's open vista, making a presence in the area. Embracing the natural environment, the home has large openings out of its monolithic form, with a dark-stained wood exterior. The interior features a contrasting white wood throughout and smooth concrete flooring. An artistic staircase sits in the center of the home, doubling as a library that leads up to the gallery above.
Using eco-friendly systems, the home is sustainable with passive energy-saving features. To finish off the exciting architectural experience, the Casa Hualle has a large swimming pool in the back as a contrast to the dramatic volcanic backdrop.
