Spanish design firm Estudio Albar presents a look at its new Casa Eñe design, which is defined by its cork cladding by Madrid. This is purposefully done to blend in with the landscape around it and the national park. The clients were looking for a home that visually and environmentally would have a low impact. A large decision to remove a row of hedges was made to merge the plot and the park together.
Founder of Estudio Albar, Daniel Lozano states, "At the north boundary of the Casa Eñe plot, beyond the great hedge barrier that had been unmaintained for decades, the natural park was located. Hectares of holm oaks and rockroses, a place where you can cross paths with deer, wild boars, and even wolves just half an hour from Madrid. We couldn't block those views, we had to integrate them into the project."
