This MINI Connected Ad Suggests Car Music Playlists at Gas Stations

— September 9, 2016 — Autos
To show off the features of MINI Connected, MINI Cooper created a stunt that lets drivers enjoy more of the in-car music they love. MINI Connected makes it possible for a driver to listen to playlists on their mobile device, so the brand set up a microphone at gas stations in order to tune into the music that's been selected by a car's driver.

After "listening," to the music, Shazam was able to determine the song playing, which made it possible for a complementary playlist on Deezer to be selected. From there, drivers are able to receive their gas receipt and along with it, an invite to download MINI Connected for a selection of more personalized driving playlists.

As well as helping consumers to discover more music that they will love, this serves as a great promotion to show off the features of a MINI Cooper.
