Inspired by Post Secret and Shinto shrine prayer walls, artist Candy Chang created a private yet public space to share and confess one's deepest secrets.
Entitled 'Confessions,' the project "invites people to anonymously share their confessions and see the confessions of people around them in the heart of the Las Vegas strip." Confession booths allow people to privately write down their confessions, which are then displayed on walls around the gallery. Everyone wants to know other people's secrets without sharing their own, but Candy Chang's communal space allows confessors to divulge their dirty laundry without an ounce of shame involved.
Whether you reveal something about yourself or just read the secret stories of others, Candy Chang's 'Confessions' is a meditative art project which engages all viewers alike.
