Accessible Education-Focused Organizations

Ampere Has Merged with Canada Learning Code

A significant consolidation has occurred within the Canadian non-profit sector as Ampere, an organization formerly known as the Pinnguaq Association, has merged with the national charity Canada Learning Code.

This unification brings together two entities with a documented history of collaboration spanning several years. Prior to the merger, Ampere and Canada Learning Code ran joint initiatives in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education and community-based programming. By consolidating their operations into one entity, the two organizations combine their respective strengths — Ampere's focus on serving rural, remote, and Indigenous communities with hands-on technology education, and Canada Learning Code's national reach and emphasis on providing digital literacy and career development for groups typically underrepresented in the technology sector.

Ryan Oliver, CEO of Ampere, shared about the move: "Ampere and Canada Learning Code have been intertwined from the very beginning. We each were incorporated just one month apart, growing side by side, and supporting each other as friends and allies along the way."
