AMPD Ventures Inc, a next-generation digital infrastructure provider, announced its subsidiary Departure Louge Inc entered an education collaboration agreement with the Centre for Digital Media to develop a globally attractive Metaverse Innovation Centre.
Departure Lounge is bringing its range of metaverse-related technologies and creative services to the new education-focused space. It will house a state-of-the-art Metastage volumetric capture stage on the Center for Digital Media's campus. The facility is expected to be used as a catalyst for integrated learning and research opportunities for students, faculty, and the community of digital content creators.
According to James Hursthouse, CEO of Departure Lounge the "founding team has enjoyed working with CDM students, alumni, and faculty on many collaborative projects over the years, and I am pleased that we have been able to establish our Departure Lounge Vancouver HQ at the heart of such a thriving digital media community."
