Charlotte Fosdike quite literally uses cacao texture to adorn the packaging of a handcrafted chocolate bar. The client — 9th & Larkin, is a high-quality chocolatier who puts great emphasis on the authenticity of its product. The company sources its ingredients from around the world and brings them together in a raw hand-crafted chocolate bar.
Designer Charlotte Fosdike takes this into consideration when creating the language for the label's packaging. The cacao pod is used as an artistic tool to produce a pattern that is both minimalist in design and has a direct correlation to the product. The resulting cacao texture is transferred from the exterior of the pod onto silk for screen printing, making for an absolutely unique and authentic approach to package aesthetics.
