Burberry's Elevated Flagship Store Stays True to the Brand's Aesthetic

Italian architect Vincenzo De Cotiis has elevated Burberry's London flagship store with a design inspired by the brand's signature pattern.

The store is located in Knightsbridge, London, and takes up a three-storied retail spot. The design is completed with checkered tiles and mirrored lighting grids - all alluding to the brand's signature raincoat pattern. De Cotiis was inspired by the domestic sphere and wanted to make the space feel like a home - one where customers feel comfortable roaming about. Burberry's core colors - beige, black, white, and red - are found throughout the retail space, woven into specific design elements.

The space is finished with glossy white floors and stands, which open the space and create a gallery-like atmosphere. The architect equally draws on the classical Knightsbridge architecture through a custom-made island used to display footwear.
