This Buick Style Event Boasted Manicures in Honor of the Buick Avista

In order to celebrate the Buick Avista being named the 2016 Concept Car of the Year, the American auto manufacturer teamed up with premium nail polish brand ZOYA to create a special edition polish that honored the Avista's unique shade of blue – appropriately deemed 'Avista Blue.'

Hosted at renowned TIPS Nail Bar in Toronto's Greektown neighborhood, the event featured a chance to indulge in a little pampering in honor of the special 'Avista Blue' ZOYA shade, with media guests able to choose a personalized manicure in the special hue.

On hand to discuss the concept and indulge in a selection of delicious treats, lattes and cocktails were Buick's lead designers Sharon Gauci and Catherine Black. The creative event allowed an opportunity for the Color & Trim team to elaborate on the many ways in which design and color have come to define the vehicle and the need for it to reflect the style of the driver. This functions as a great example of how contemporary design trends are reflected across seemingly unrelated industries.
