A London-based beer company called Meantime Brewing plans to bring brewery tours directly to its consumers through virtual reality. These tours will be offered during festivals and events so that customers can gain full access to the brewery without physically going to it.
Through virtual reality equipment, each tour will reveal the layout of Meantime's brewery with the added bonus of sampling some of the product. By bringing these tours to events, festival and pubs, the exciting experience will intrigue and delight people. This unique combination of technology and beer is a fantastic approach to futuristic drinking.
Meantime plans to launch the virtually based brew tours during the 'Taste of London' food festival this summer. All the footage of the brewery was gathered from a 3D digital camera and was developed by virtual reality videographers, producers and developers from 'Visualise.’
