Bart van Polanen Petel Will Inspire People to Box with Paint

Heavyweight Bart van Polanen Petel is not only a boxer, he is a talented painter who will inspired people to put down the traditional paintbrush and box with paint instead. What does that mean? It means wrapping a punching bag with a canvas, dipping gloves into a bunch of colorful paint and hitting it for hours on end to create a stunning abstract artwork.

Dubbed 'Paintboxing,' the Dutch artist has been able to meld two passions into one. Surely a gym or studio will introduce an option so that people can also box with paint in the near future. Petel writes, “Instead of crushing bones and shattering teeth, I use my fists to create. I use exclusively boxing techniques, with real boxing gloves. No brush allowed.”
