Clever Caps Link Up with LEGO for Useful Bottle Cap Recycling

There is a sickening amount of plastic that ends up going to waste from plastic bottles alone, but Clever Caps aims to make bottle cap recycling and repurposing a little easier to do. Created by Henry Suzuki and Claudio Patrick Vollers, the Clever Caps design includes raised bumps that can be locked with commercial building block toys such as LEGO. With enough bottle caps and toy blocks, it's possible to create useful items like tables, storage bins or anything else that you put your mind to. Rather than disposing of the bottle caps when they are no longer needed, this design gives them another shot at a new life after it is no longer needed for the purposes of keeping a drink contained.

Clever Caps have not yet been produced on a large scale, however, there is an Indiegogo campaign in place to help the company raise funds for the idea.
