Accessibility is a priority at the Institute of Blind Yoga, as it aims to create a space that encourages inclusivity. The Institute teaches educational and experiential workshops to yoga instructors, giving them the necessary skills to lead the visually impaired. Currently, the program is based in two locations -- Phoenix and Toronto, with goals to expand globally. The Institute of Blind Yoga believes in creating a future that allows those with disabilities to have the same active opportunities.
Yoga instructors from all over the globe come together to create a community that exudes passion in teaching. By building this community, the group aims to decrease isolation and frustration for the visually impaired, whilst elevating their confidence by giving them a sense of belonging.
