The Birk Table is not your average living room furniture piece. Although it does rest on the simple side of the design spectrum, it features some unusual details that not only set it apart, but also come in quite handy. The Birk Table is inspired by domino boxes, hence its hollow body. But instead of storing dominoes inside of it (which a person can do if they should so desire) it can hold everything from magazines to laptops and so much more.

Designed by Iselin Lindmark Dubland, the Birk Table is currently a prototype. With its rounded edges and use of wooden materials, the modern coffee table would fit into any contemporary living space with ease.
