Cycle-In Offices

Studio RHE Designed This Building with Bike Ramps for Cycling Straight into Work

Encouraging commuters to cycle to work, this refurbished office building includes bike ramps that allow cyclists to roll right into the office. Designed by Studio RHE, the office features yellow and black striped ramps that connect the outdoor bike path to the basement of the building. The bike ramps roll riders straight into a storage space where bicycles can be parked. The space is outfitted with change rooms and lockers as well.

Hailed as London's first "cycle-in office," this design makes biking to work easier and faster than ever. The entire building is suited for shared work and social space, including a nine-storey glazed atrium at its heart. With things like bike parking spaces, a bike lift and repair shop in an apartment building designed by Foster + Partners, bike-friendly buildings are on the rise.
