Rampitecture in Waco is a Pavilion-Like Structure in Texas by Zenga Bros

Rampitecture is a pavilion-like public event venue designed by architecture studio Zenga Bros in Waco, Texas. The project consists of a series of sloping timber ramps and platforms arranged on a flat site to create interconnected event spaces and outdoor gathering zones. The ramps rise gently from grade and intersect to form terrace-like areas that can be used for seating, circulation, and informal programming during community events. The structure is open to the landscape and does not enclose traditional rooms, instead emphasizing flow between different levels and uses.
The design uses laminated timber beams and decking to create a continuous surface that transitions between horizontal and inclined planes. Structural supports are spaced to allow daylight to pass through beneath the ramps, preserving visibility across the site. Ramps terminate at elevated platforms that provide vantage points and gathering spaces for spectators or participants. The composition includes integrated seating elements and minimal framing to maintain a light physical presence.
