Brooklyn Residential Buildings

Bergen Brooklyn is a Condo by Frida Escobedo in Boerum Hill

Bergen Brooklyn is a seven-storey residential development in the Boerum Hill neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York, designed by Mexican architecture studio Taller Frida Escobedo with master planning by DXA Studio. The 105 condominium units are arranged across two wings that flank a central garden and shared amenity space. The façades are articulated with custom masonry modules that vary in texture, transparency and porosity, creating a rhythm that responds to light, air flow and the surrounding brownstone context while maximising daylight for interior spaces. The building’s orientation and material palette are intended to reference the scale and character of the adjacent neighbourhood.

Interior design for both private residences and common areas was led by Brooklyn studio Workstead, drawing on natural materials and a calm sensory palette to enhance spatial quality and comfort. The project includes a range of unit types from studios to larger multi-bedroom apartments, and shared amenities such as lounges, gardens and rooftop terraces.
