Bells and Whistles Collection by Kiki Goti Reframes Embellishments

— September 19, 2025 — Art & Design
The new Bells and Whistles collection by Kiki Goti is designed to reframe embellishments as essential design in furniture that turns decorative detail into structural form. The series includes an armchair, a credenza, a coffee table, a cabinet, and a table lamp. Each piece featuring cast aluminum bell-motif legs and miniature whistle-shaped knobs. Drawers are tucked into unexpected corners and the knobs evoke playful ornamentation, while craftsmanship is grounded in materials like walnut, lacquered wood and thick aluminum. Ornamentation becomes more than decoration, it becomes a defining part of the object’s function and structure.

The collection was shown at TORO Manifesto during the Collectible Fair in Mexico City. Its details cite bell-making techniques where molten metal is cast for enduring, resonant forms. Whistle knobs hint at hidden compartments. Overall the designs balance utility and flourish, merging utility with visual character in pieces that feel both practical and surprising.
