With World Bee Day fast approaching (Thursday, May 20), many consumers are wondering how they a difference for Canadian bee colonies. One brand leading the way is Belgian Moon. The brand is helping Canadians support pollinators with its can of Belgian Moon Honey Daze. The light wheat ale is "crafted with a touch of sweetness and an orange peel for a refreshing taste," and is available at local liquor and grocery stores.
Made with ethically sourced real Canadian honey, and in partnership with Dancing Bee Equipment, Belgian Moon will plant one pollinating flower (up to 100,000) for every can of Honey Daze produced in an effort to support the ecosystem for honeybees.
“Approximately 80 percent of flowering plants depend on pollinators such as the Honey bees to transfer their pollen,” said Todd Kalisz, Master Beekeeper and CEO of Dancing Bees Equipment. “Without our lovely pollinating friends, humans wouldn’t be able to enjoy the natural sweeteners - like honey - that make everything, including Belgian Moon beer, taste better.”
