Anyone who has waited behind someone who is making a big order at the bar will appreciate the 'Pay @ Pump' beer pump as being an effective way to help streamline the ordering experience.
Designed by Barclaycard, the 'Pay @ Pump' system works by enabling customers to order their drink, pay and receive it themselves without having to rely on the bartender for service. The entire experience is purported to take just 60-seconds flat, which is far lower than the average 12-minutes that bar-goers can sometimes wait during the holiday season to get a drink the old-fashioned way.
The 'Pay @ Pump' beer pump is a prototype that was tested and installed at Henry's Cafe and Bar in London around the Piccadilly area.
