This beer dispensing device was designed to help avoid awkward silences at a European networking conference. When two phones were plugged in, the simultaneous charge resulted in flowing beer and flowing conversation between strangers.

Created by agency Hasan & Partners and built by their sister company Perfect Fools, the beer dispensing device was installed at Eurobest. The inspiring Helsinki event celebrated creativity in Europe. Powered by Raspberry Pi, the invention had a USB hub that detected when two mobile phones were being charged at the same time. Intended to make networking more fun, the interactive installation let delegates share a beer while they waited.

When people shared their location at the Hasan & Parters stand, a digital slot machine game was enabled as well.
