Casa Valle and BD Barcelona Designs a Limited Battló Chair

— May 15, 2025 — Art & Design
Design gallery Casa Valle has worked together with furniture producer BD Barcelona on a limited edition of the Battló chair by Antoni Gaudi. It was presented as part of the NYCxDesign 2025 show. The Battló chair was originally designed in 1904 by Gaui for the Casa Battló dining room in Barcelona, and the location is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

De Valle has explained that the Battló chair is often not seen outside of the house that which it was designed for, "We were excited by the idea of continuing to evolve Gaudí's legacy. His style of Modernisme feels so relevant today. We were interested in showing his designs in a new context and also evolving the conversation around Gaudí."
