The Batch Series highlights the designer's previous tendency to create one-of-a-kind furniture pieces that, as a natural result, were utterly exclusive and hard to come by. Making her products more accessible, British designer Faye Toogood is inspired by the concept of batch production, hence its name. A simple influence, the Batch Series complements it with modern minimalist designs that many will appreciate.
Comprised of five pieces ranging from tables to chairs, the Batch Series centers around geometric shapes that have been applied in playful ways. The Element Table is particular playful. Its base is made up of a cylinder, sphere and cube that are reminiscent of wooden childhood toys. The remaining four furniture pieces are modeled after the spade, which happens to be an icon of rural life in the English countryside.
