Design studio From: C was recently highlighted during the AAPI exhibition Upon Further Reflection and now it delivers its BLOC Collection, marking its inaugural furniture capsule. There are five pieces in the new range, all of which are made with inspiration drawn from the look of children's blocks. The geometric furniture includes the Cube chair, Tri stool, wedge chair, Ottoman, and Cylinder lounge chair.
Founder of From: C, Caroline Chao explains the collection, stating “I wanted to create something both playful and sculptural yet familiar and nostalgic. Children’s wooden block sets have shapes that are instantly recognizable, and part of a common experience that many people share. There’s a playful lightheartedness, yet sculptural geometric purity, associated with the shapes that I wanted to celebrate. It brings us back to nostalgia for childhood toys and a lighthearted curiosity as people interact with the pieces.”
