Balmain's New Candle Was Created with Trudon

— January 19, 2022 — Art & Design
Balmain's new candle fragrance was a collaborated project between the Balmain brand a historical French candlemaker Trudon. Trudon is known for its "reliance on archives, savoir-faire, and legacies as ket ingredients in the creation of offerings that are very much of today," as Olivier Rousteing, creative director of Balmain, explains.

The new Balmain-Trudon candle is a limited edition fragrance derived from the Ernesto Trudon scent. The fragrance boasts a floral and slightly more delicate edition of the classic Ernesto scent. Ernesto relies heavily on tobacco, cedar, and gunpowder notes, as it is inspired by a Havana hotel during the Cuban Revolution. The Balmain-Trudon aims to create a feminine version of the iconic scent with a focus on tobacco and leather scents.
