Balenciaga's Fall 2018 line recently made its runway debut and featured two men's shirts that were stamped with a working phone number.
When dialed, the phone number re-directed individuals to a Balenciaga hotline that begins with a statement that ensures the individual that the information they provide will be confidential. Following the statement, individuals are asked a series of personal questions, including one's "age, pet ownership or preferred vacation destinations." The conversation thet ends with another statement that informs the listener all the data will be deleted.
Whether the brand is looking to gather information on its consumers, or simply further engagement, this runway-based moves serves as one of the most creative marketing tactics from the designer brand.
