Invisible Tanks

BAE Systems Chameleon Technology Could Make Vehicles Seem like a Mirage

BAE Systems Chameleon technology is a type of tank camoflauge currently in development that will potentially make armoured vehicles capable of disguising themselves completely.

The system involves placing a pair of video cameras on each side of the tank whose data is then transmitted to the opposite side of the vehicle which displays the recorded feed in a manner much like a projection. In this way the tank could appear almost invisible, although heat-dampening measures are also a key component of BAE Systems Technology.

The system could be fully operational in as soon as five years, so keep your eyes peeled for further developments.
