This back portrait series was illustrated by a Lithuanian artist named Karolis Strautniekas. The emphasis of these drawings denotes distinctive portraits from behind of ordinary people within many places. These charming and Intriguing illustrations show how something simple and ordinary can have much detail with many shades and hues.
Some of these illustrations depict a man taking a picture of himself at the museum, a couple of construction workers and a hunter just minding their own business. The act of people-watching makes these back portraits very interesting in a way that we tend to be informed of their surroundings. The minimal drawing technique with lots of value demonstrates a sense of rhythm and variety portrayed within these works.
