Ayako Kurokawa is a celebrated pastry chef and sculptor based out of New York City. This adorable cactus macaron shows exactly why she's so beloved in the industry. Incredibly artistic and playfully executed, it's hard not to appreciate Ayako Kurokawa's imagination when it comes to her delicious creations. What makes her work even more intriguing is that at Pâtisserie Burrow, she offers desserts that embrace French, Japanese and American cuisine.

Although people might not want to eat such designs as this cactus macaron, Ayako Kurokawa ensures that they are too tasty to resist. What makes it even more impressive is the fact that it appears to have been made on the fly, at least according to her caption on Instagram.
