The computer-generated Augmented Reality Pirate is one clever idea! Creating pixel art that resembles QR codes from augmented reality, this concept was created to make a play on words of the term.
If the coding could be reverse engineered, this could open up an interesting creation of QR code art. The design is currently up for voting at Threadless. You can vote here if you'd like to wear it someday soon!
Implications - With the proliferation of QR codes, graphic artists are now capitalizing off the familiarity of pixelated imagery in order to garner mass consumer attention. Corporations may consider using QR code-inspired imagery in their products as well as in media campaigns in order to attract consumers to company products and messages.
